Hi,

I just got my spark and flew it to 25%,
After landing it, i thought i had enough to transfer the photo and video to my phone through wifi. And i drained it to 8% while doing so.
After that i left it in the drone for 5 days before i charged the battery again. Before charging i pressed the check button on the battery and it wouldnt blink.

My question is:

1) Did i damage my battery? (all this while the battery is attached to the drone, however when i charged it, it got back to 100%)

2) How do i check if it is damaged? (say if i fly with the battery and got 15-16 min does it mean it is fine?)

Check the volts after tapping the battery icon in the menu.  Each cell should be ~ 4.7 volts after charging and within .1 volt of each other.

Chances are the battery discharged during the 5 days and it sounds like you haven't cycled your battery yet. I would try draining it and charging it, also in the DJI GO4 Application you can check to see under Battery how many times your battery has been charged.

I have just used the battery twice, and didn't read about the minimum I could bring the battery to, so I thought as long as it is 8% it shouldn't be considered over discharged as the spark is intelligent battery...lol.

Leave it in the charger for a while. One of my new Spark batteries appeared ‘dead’ the first time I charged it, but the charge sequence lights came on after about a minute. It has been fine since. Fingers crossed you get it going.

I think you are fine...it will turn itself off when it reaches the minimum voltage.  I have gotten to the point where no lights come on when tested several times.  They have always charged back fine.

Yeah charged it and plugged into the spark and it started at 95% when fully charged, and checked the other battery I had it starts at 100%, not sure if that is considered damaged.

But no issue in charging, but I would say it is hard to keep a reserve of 20% with the spark as the battery time is already short to begin with...lol

Check the voltage of each cell. They all should be around 4.7 and within not more than .2 of each other

Cycle the battery a few times and the cells should balance. As a good rule of thumb, set your low batt warning at 30%. I know it limits the flight but it’s much better on the batteries. I’ve found 4 batteries to be a nice round number

Check all your batteries’ firmware is updated to the latest and charge them. If the problem persists contact DJI Support.

Shorter battery time........I realised that after a couple of weeks of flying but it was too late. I would have waited and bought a Mavic Pro

After used UNDER 10%, the batteries are hybernating more ore less directly. To prevent the battery from greater damage. Charge it, all will be ok

How long the battery can be in Hybernation ?

Being that they are Lithium Ion they should be able to hibernate for the industry standard of 2-3 years.  That is also considering that there world is perfect, and that the circuitry in them has no draw while they hibernate.

DJI is tellin, to "waken 'em up", every 3 month. And recharge them to 60-70%

The battery will enter hibernation mode after 6 hours when it's lower than 10% to protect the battery from over discharging
The indicator lights will not light up in hibernation mode
Charging the battery will wake it from hibernation
It is recommended to store the battery between 40-60%
