I'm hesitantly dipping my toes in the aerial photography water. My big concern is that I'm not a very skilled drone pilot. I'm worried about crashing or completely losing the Mavic Pro.

Is DJI Care Refresh worth the $100? For example, if I lost the drone in the ocean, would they replace it?

On the website it says: "DJI Care Refresh is valid for 12 months and offers up to two full replacements at additional charge..." Does anyone know what the additional charges are?

Hello Silvex, thanks for your interest in DJI Care Refresh. DJI Care Refresh covers pilot error as long as the drone is retrieved and sent in, including water damage. For the additional charges, the first replacement fee is $79 and the second is $129, you can find it from here: https://store.dji.com/product/dji-care-refresh-mavic-pro?from=search

Thanks for the information! I guess retrieving the drone is the tricky part.

I'm sorry that flyaway will not be covered by the DJI Care Refresh. If the drone is still in warranty period, we'll arrange data analysis to check the exact status and offer you a proper solution.

I was speaking hypothetically about retrieving it. The drone hasn't even arrived yet.

I did do some checking with my homeowners insurance. It turns out that it is already covered under personal property on my policy. I don't have to pay anything extra and I will not need to go fishing for a drone if my fear becomes a reality.

Thanks for the clarification. Anyway, wish you have a good time on flying the drone.
