I have not updated my phantom 3 in over a year, I was afrid of the loseing the ability to fly in certin areas. Currently i can fly anywhere. When i turn on the app i am told to limit my flight ot 50 meters but i can fly further. Whats diffrent in the new firmware?

Try logging out , then log back in.  That should remove the restrictions.
