I have a mavic Air and configured to rector in 120FPS 1080. It clearly shows it on the upper right of the screen. However all the videos which are recorded to the internal drive are coming up in 720P at 30 FPS in the editor. Also when I download the videos.

There is also a 2nd 120FPS 1080 UI element next to the other one in the upper right, but it has a 45 degree red line though it.

Any idea what is going on?

You are probably looking at the video that gets sent to the phone while flying and not the video saved to the sd card or internal memory. Remove the memory card, plug the Mavic Air into a computer to import video or use the DJIGo 4 app to transfer the higher quality video to your phone.

If this is what caused the problem. Stop flying your drone. Go back and read the manual a few more times. If you missed this piece of information, you most likely missed other pieces of information that could result in consequences worse than not having access to your full resolution photos and videos.
