Nope, did not come with one.. Just get a cheap 31.5mm binoculars lens cap.. Works a treat.

I know.. If I was running DJI I would have given everyone a lens cap, backpack,case, ND filter, training and a full set of spares. But I'm just a mere user..
Lens cap will just cost you a couple of pounds/dollars..

Ordered as well. Won't be seeing my P3 for a few more weeks but might was well start getting setup.

The lens cap for the P2V+ was almost useless. It was annoying, difficult to put on and take off. I honestly fail to see the use of it. So had they done something similar it wouldn't have been a huge boon. What is it that happens to the lens when it is in your case or on your table? Especially compared to what happens when you take it outside and put an four  insect-killing props above it - and maybe land or at least take off from the ground or maybe some grass (I do prefer to take off from a mat or something like that - and almost always hand-catch rather than land) with a lot of wind blowing all sorts of stuff around?

When is it you need a lens cap? Don't get me wrong; I am all for protecting the P3. But its not a great deal.

Often I will have an ND-filter attached to the camera anyway, and that gives some protection.

Most users are more interested in the ND filters than the lens cover.  At least that has been my observation.

I am definitely interested in an ND filter. I just wanted to make sure that my lens didn't get scratched in transport.

I just got my P3A and I noticed a few things:

1) I was surprised there IS a removable filter on it.  It screws off, and although it appears to be nothing but clear flat glass, it seems that it's protecting the lens itself, and if it ever got broken, I think the camera would probably work fine without it.  Essentially it's a full-time lens cap which can be cleaned.  For the purpose a lens cap would serve, I'm not worried.  I don't know if this applies to the Pro model, but probably.

2) Unlike my P2V+. the gimbal clamp was BARELY in place.  It fell right off when I lifted it from the box.  Since I had heard this was happening to people, I video'd my unboxing, from first cuttng the tape to removal of everything.  The clamp was askew and it fell off before I intended to remove it.

That is what I think also. I never needed the lens cap for the V+.

My V+ was in the case or flying.
