Any pros out there notice a difference in the sharpness tweaks DJI did to the camera? I am still birdless (5 weeks and counting with no word from DJI since April 14th) and feel like the kid who can't go out and play =( -- I always thought the default 0 sharpness was WAY too heavy and -1 was too mushy. I've heard this has been fixed and looks a lot more pleasant now at -1 to allow post sharpening to taste.

Yes the sharpness was VASTLY improvedin the last FW with the increments being much smaller. I was using -3 and then sharpening in post. (Previously as you know even -1 was unusable)
However, today an updated firmware has been released which suposedly addresses the moire issue.
I have yet to try it although I have updated.

Really, another firmware update?  I thought it was just ios app?

  Found this on the Inspire Pilots web site, I've up loaded the firmware
Quad took 16 mins, both RC 2.5 mins,
all works , The DJI Pilot app on Ipad Air 2 updated itself to 1.1.1

Overview：
1. All-in-One Firmware version updated to: v1.2.1.03
2. DJI Pilot app iOS version updated to: v1.1.1
3. DJI Pilot app Android version updated to: v1.1.0

Just updated bird, remotes, batteries and tablet. Now video returns to my Samsung tab4. Some batteries (3 out of 5) did not seem to update.

Updated mine with no issues and all of the batteries updated as well.

Did anyone else notice the camera gets pretty hot during the Inspire update?

Yeah, it was really really hot. Kind of worrying, but got the update to take on the second try.

I am glad that I was not the only one. Hope this does not have long term affect on the camera life..

I also noted when using the Simulator on the previous update that the camera got really hot, after about 15mins use.  I had to leave my camera out to cool before I put it back in the box.

Updating now and going out for a test flight and to try out a 32 nd filter as well as the update.
Be interesting to see if the moire/noise/flicker/strobing thing is better.....
Also where have the Maps gone from the App home page?

What does this mean? I don't recall ever seeing a director function or any mention of it in the manual. Is this the programmable waypoints feature?

I guess I have been going off what the salesman told me - that DJI would be releasing features like programmable flight routes (waypoints) and intelligent camera tracking and even "follow me" modes. He is the only source I have so could be total BS. I saw plenty of drones at CES with those features, though.

Hi Sam1am....What the salesman told you is right DJI should be releasing those features it just seems a long wait. I purchased mine for those very features you mention.

to get the maps view tap on the lower left corner on the direction icon. this will take you from camera to map and back again

Got the same set-up but still no video to my Samsung Tab4...updated everything else successfully. Still have to use my Samsung G5 phone...bummer!

After I updated mine I noticed the colors are unnatural. Not sure if color temp is off or what. But I tried all the color temps. I Usually do 5600k but after the update 5600k looks way too warm. Anybody else experience this? DJI support says it's my iPad and computer, but its not.
