After nearly losing my Air at the weekend I wonder if there was a good list of pre-flight checks the more experienced people used. How many satellites aquired before flights etc.
Here you will find an excellent pre-flight check of one of our most experienced pilots: https://forum.dji.com/forum.php? ... &fromuid=260008
For your question concerning satellites, you should wait for 11 or more before take off.

Just in today's DJI newsletter a good bunch of information that might be also interesting for you: http://link.dji.com/u/gm.php?UID=YM1dXInrM4&ID=290636680_1799429_128094
Thanks - I saw that earlier. Shame I didn't see that before my fateful flight!

Here’s another preflight checklist, it’s quite comprehensive but there is a lot in it , you should get plenty from it.

OMG mate - that is seriously thorough - thanks for sharing. Think I'll print that for my personal use too.
I follow a very strict set up but it's the little things that I can overlook - like gimbal clamps and double checking RTH settings. Thanks again - this is very comprehensive
