i tried to update the inspire with no success...

i turn the inspire on with remote off.
after 15 or 20 minutes i get a long beep and the txt fil says "failed".

tried several times...

any help?

Make sure there is NOTHING on your SD card other than the .bin update file and try again!!!!

should i formate the card within the inspire camera?

i still can boot the inspire (when there is no card in the camera)

Yes format the card in the camera then put the card in the computer and drag and drop the update into the card. I used the card that came with the inspire. I updated the controller first, then the inspire. It is a long update on the inspire. Took about 20-25 minutes.

Exactly the opposite of what DJI instructions say

Yeah you should do the Inspire first and then the controller!!!

UPDATE!!! The update has succeeded!!!! I went to a local dealer and they used a different camera to do the update and it worked My original camera works perfectly with the update...This looks like a glitch with the firmware that only allows a certain number of cameras to allow the update!
I have tried updating over 30 times and it finally worked with another camera...It's a glitch with the new firmware which doesn't let all cameras allow the update to complete. I know this because my camera allowed the last update perfectly...Go to a local dealer or a friend with an Inspire and ask if you can use it to update the Inspire GOOD LUCK!!!

whaaaat? this is unbelievable...

i know a guy with an inspire and i will contact him. my dealer is hundreds of kilometres away (purchased online) and this is not an option.

BUT: how can DJI bring a new firmware wich is not tested on several versions of the camera (actually i didn't know that there are several versions...)

You better read thru some of these posts.  Are you sure you want to upgrade?

after i heard of trouble with shutting down the remote while the copter is in the air i really want to upgrade...

I had same problem couldn't update.

BUT, I used different camera in reference to mountmotor's advice.
The update has succeeded!!!

Same MicroSD,Same Battery,Different Camera
Update Complete!!!

If You can change different camera , please try it.

Show's though that they really need to improve on this whole Update procedure....
Also with this been a success it should have a reference made and stickied to the top
of the forum for others.

even with the new formated SD Card (the one delivered with the inspire) no chance...
Hope to get it done with another camera...

Hey I hope so mate. Keep us posted it might help some of the other guys out.

Anyone tried updating via the USB and bypassing the SD card? Might be worth a go. If you do make sure you have plenty of slack in the line.
