Indeed. It was pure chance to capture the patrol. You may notice I ascended as the truck approached ;)

Thank you. Yes it is surreal to see that fence stretching out of sight in each direction.

Never saw the border wall as you have videoed it.
Most of the time the TV shows just a quick clip of it. In away it is picturesque  and in another way it is sad.

Fabulous location, the wall I am afraid is awful and a blight on what should be a wonderful landscape. But great footage, so thanks for sharing.

Early morning and I decided to get off I-8 and take the back road. For some reason, I thought the border would be several miles to the south.

Then suddenly.... there it was. Between the semi-abandoned railroad line and the fence I decided I needed to launch and see what I could collect.

Curious as to what the patrol's reaction was.  Were they the least bit curious?  Talk to you at all?  Nice video of a controversial yet necessary subject.

I was wondering the same did the patrol even see the drone or look for the pilot.
You here so much about the wall but to see it from a drones point of view its something how big it is.

I increased altitude and I'm quite certain there was no detection.

I quickly evaluated the situation and was not able to identify any risks to safety or operational security of the personnel. So I continued the flight.

Nice footage of wall.  Looks like old section.  Not a section of new style that has been proposed.

It's nothing compared to Great Wall of China.  Which can be seen by astronauts!

Thanks for showing us that protective wall. Hopefully they can finish all the other two thousand miles or so of it. And we can keep out all those illiterate, criminal, dastardly, migrants who want to take jobs no Americans want.
