Hi,

there are already a few topics regarding this issue out there but  I haven't found a solution yet that works for me, so I try again here:

In DJI GO 4.2.8 on iOS I can't switch between video and photo mode during flight. The swith button is greyed out, hardware buttons on the remote don't switch either.
As soon as the drone is landed, switching works fine.

When I start recording video before launching the drone i can record video, but that's pretty annoying.

Reinstalling the app fixed the issue for a few flights, then it happened again.

Any ideas?

Are you taking off in Gesture mode...that inhibits video recording.

I'm always doing palm launch, yes. Confirmed that switching works when launching from the ground, thanks.

Has that behavior changed some time? I'm pretty sure that worked earlier...

It's just something to remember to do after palm launch...go back to Normal mode...tap the RC icon on left of screen and then tap Normal.

Good advice that, speaking of gesture mode - has anyone managed to get the drone to take a picture making a frame with your hands?? I get loads of LED flashing but nothing happens and proximity alarm keeps going off...?

Would flipping the switch to Sport mode on and off fix this?? I usually do that to get it out of Active Track or Quickshot mode.
