I have my main computer at home, which can easily edit footage from the spark. Out of curiosity, what do you guys use in the form of a laptop or other device when away from your main editing rig?

I use ipad or iphone with Luma Fusion software, works great

Macbook Air curerntly. I have to transcode the 4k video before i can edit on there though and that can take a few hours be beats waiting until i get home

MacBook Pro, and I use either iMovie, Premire Pro, or Final Cut Pro.

On the go I use a HP 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop, Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM. I thought I was going to have to upgrade to 16GB RAM but so far it has worked fine. I have even edited 4K a couple times and it was sluggish but worked. I think if I get a Mavic Air and wanted to edit a LOT of 4K I'd double the RAM and install a solid state harddrive to speed it up a bit.

At home I use a HP Z600 Workstation 2x X5650 Six Core 2.67Ghz, 16GB RAM, EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB GAMING GPU, and Hybrid solid state harddrive. RAM is expandable to 48GB RAM. This thing really flies. I've edited 4K many times and it never slows down.

However, I need a laptop for editing on the go this summer, so just today I ordered the Dell XPS 15. It's amazingly hard to stay under a $2000 budget and get everything I need! It's easy to find something with a lot of power, but add a color accurate screen and the price doubles! Even at $1900 for the XPS 15 (last years model, $400 off) I still had to settle for a less powerful graphics card than I would have preferred.

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet 2nd Generation i7-7Y75 Kaby Lake, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, with cellular LTE configured. This 2-in-1 I can detach keyboard, or fold-up on the go. The screen is 2160x1440 IPS Gorilla Corning. Fanless i7 bursts at 3.6GHz, can handle 4K in Premiere Pro 2018.
