I received an error notification on the app, but the sensor status says normal.  I tried calabration on the assistan but can't go beyond the first screen.  It would appear one of the forward facing sensor/cameras is no longer working.  

Is this a case to send out for repair or is there some sort of self diagnostic that can fix this?

If you have tried to do the VPS calibration a few times and it doesn't work then you should contact support.  Watch a few Youtube videos first to make sure you are doing it correctly.
