Hi acozyoruk,
As someone who worked in the industry (now retired), I can tell you that Cacc is correct. MB/s means megabytes per second, and Mb/s means megabits per second.
Disk drive interfaces moved from a parallel interface (bytes per transfer) to a serial interface (bits per transfer) several years ago, and correspondingly the generally accepted metric for I/O performance has moved to megabits per second (Mb/s). Capacities are still expressed in megabytes (or terabytes), however. Please note that the specifications provided by DJI indicate that "Class 10 or UHS-1 rating required" for the Phantom 3, and the go further to state that the Professional model camera maximum bit rate is 60 Mb/s whereas the Advanced maximum bit rate is 40 Mb/s. Both Class 10 and UHS-1 are rated at 10 MB/s (megabytes), which translates to 80 Mb/s. So Class 10 and UHS-1 are more than capable of handling the demands of either model of the Phantom 3.
You can read more about the class designations here: https://www.sdcard.org/developers/overview/speed_class/.
The nomenclature can be confusing, so I hope that this helps! |
