I use the Mini 4 with Cellular and it is very reliable. I feel that the A8 processor is out of date. The GO 4 program is a very powerful program that requires plenty of speed and memory. Most of us are waiting for the Mini 5. The Mini is the perfect fit, not bulky, you can get the DJI sun shield and the Mini is very useful.
Yes, the A8 processor is outdated now. But, the size of the Mini 4 is ideal. A regular iPad is extremely bulky and heavy compared to the Mini 4. Then there is the huge sun screen around the regular iPad.

On another note, have you looked at the Crystal Sky? I use that with my I2 and Cendence RC. Very nice.
I had two Chrystal Skies both went dead after 3 hours so I returned them for money back. I'm so tired about this rotten Chinese crap. I won't buy anything from such a loser company anymore. Looking for alternatives.

Curious as to which one? I have the 5.8" and have no issues. Did you have the larger screen?

Love the iPad mini 4 for flying my drone. it is outdated now and can give you some minor issues. I have the iPad Pro 10.5 also and it is AWESOME !
Good luck deciding ! I think the iPad mini 2 is not going to work for you into the future (the Go App is getting harder to run)
I feel the same. The Mini 4 is perfect. Mine has Cellular as well which is great for the maps. I use a Crystal Sky 5.8 with my Cendence. I just got the DJI Sunshade and Screen protector for it. It is bright.
Hi guys, I'm still using my ipad mini 2 with no problem at all. No cellular no nothing, flawless performance for my needs, actually works better than my i phone because the screen is much larger. Safety First! Ken
