I just received my P3A from B&H and I attempted to update the firmware.

The hardware did not seem to respond to the .bin file on the SD card (no red/green on gimbal or D-D-D sounds).

I shut it down and removed the card to view the result .txt file and see the following:

========== 2014.01.01 00:00:13 unsynchronized ======
Packet: P3S_FW_V01.01.0008.bin
Result: Abort.
The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the aircraft.


There's no chance it already has the new version installed, is there??

Looks that way to me.  Either B&H already did the update or it came from the factory that way.

Odd since it's so new but it could happen. I updated the firmware on mine and when I attempted to run the firmware process again I received the same message like the one you received. So in that case..  It does appear your phantom came updated

Have you had any issue with the DJI Pilot App? I'm having issues trying to connect using apple devices.

No issues yet, knock on wood!

Took a 1 minute test flight.  All seemed to be working.

I'll give it a more thorough workout tomorrow.
