AA batteries for the winter months

Hi guys. Reading up on batteries, it would appear that Lithium AA battreries ( for your transmitter) perform much better in cold temperatures than traditional Aklanie batteries . Seems like they would last longer, and hold their charge much longer , making them a great choice for your transmitter in winter months. Is this right ? They do cost twice as much.

hmmm poor performance in cold conditions if you're using NiMH or NiCd rechargeables
