To find out what causes the YAW - compass error.
- If anyone else was new or older, then hardware failure might be.
- If everyone was the latest one, then the GO app might be wrong
- If none of 4.1.15 was above, then it's reliable and you have to use it.

But I'm sorry to think this idea as ridiculous to someone and me

Jakab,

Flyoff to Another Forum if you want to spread hate towards other pilots and also towards DJI Corporation !

I removed it!

There seems to be no need to explore the cause of the problem.
And here are just some trolls like you who teach people who have lost the loss to take better care of others, and the wind can do anything ...
It's okay that flight logs show a series of mistakes.
I think you're a DJI employee and it's your job to divert people's attention to the real problem.
You are afraid that too many similar cases in one place will attract people's attention and find out that the product contains an error that may occur at any time.
I'm not going to watch you at other forums ...

I agree that negative feedback is also useful, but this is yet another thread started by Jakab with no content but a provocative title. As such, it is over representing a problem and causing concern amongst others (as seen by Sky Angel's response). It doesn't add anything to the discussion and so is of no value to the forum. You would have to follow the forum closely to know the story behind Jakab's incident. While Jakab has a valid grievance with DJI, threads like this help nobody.

This post reveals that you are not reading the posts. Beleolvastok where it is just going to say something that does not make sense because there is no awareness behind it ...

Then, to understand my statement above:
- I've already written: there was nothing wrong with my Spark or DJI
- I've read a lot of flyaway cases
- I've noticed that there are a lot of things in common
- I also noticed that, ignoring the fact of the uncontrollability, many people hurt and educate the pilot
- That's why I tried to explain this (DMX) that after the event there is a technical solution not to blame someone.-I thought in a post, everyone can describe their case briefly.
- The first who made a DMX comment on OFFTOPIC
- I deleted the post at this point (unfortunately it can not be)
- If everyone likes it, there will be no solution ...
- Separate cases are handled by DJI and you, even if it is a hardware or software error
which must be investigated jointly.
- I do not mind the DJI, I love Spark, but too many fly away from the owner
Enter here to the search engine to get "Flyaway" 51 hits. "runaway" 2 results found

DMX says the wind can do this ... (but it's professional help)

You do understand, though, that you are responsible for several of those "flyaway" search engine results, from a single event. I posted a question on the forum about flyaways soon after I joined because, like Sky Angel, I was very concerned by the frequent posts like yours, so that's another "flyaway" search engine hit. My point is that your 51 search engine results do not correlate at all with the number of actual flyaway events.

I have a particular interest in reading posts about flyaways as it's something I fear, having had my Spark for only a couple of months. I'm coming to the conclusion that there have been a number of genuine flyaways, or hardware/software issues that have contributed to the pilot losing their Spark, but it seems that these pilots generally have a good experience with DJI customer care and are reimbursed. There may well be exceptions, but it's difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff in this forum because it's so easy to air grievances without is getting both sides.

Dear DMX!

Read the 6 posts on this topic https://forum.dji.com/thread-152623-1-1.html  There seems to be someone else who, based on his technical knowledge, does not have to break the compass, if it does, it should not turn off the GPS (the main navigation tool).
Not only do I think the firmware is wrong ...
You will also explain that the pilot is wrong and that the wind ...

You are trying to create hatred now. Will you tell me why you are an angry man?
Are you afraid of something about the DJI, something about the YAW error?

Take a big breath and try to calm down. No one will hurt you.
There are troubled people here trying to find a solution.

I and JimboHUN and many other people are looking for a solution. Do not you want to help?

I have never had YAW issues... (knock on wood )

I had some compass errors in the beggining but turned out I was flying around underground cables without checking the compass interference prior to take off. When I checked my logs I saw the error always happened along the same line, so I figured it must be a cable or something.

Now I know that was a rookie mistake of course

Cheers and happy flying!

Unfortunately, there will be newer cases, while there is no official answer to what the technical reason is, how this can happen and what the user does.

It is typical that we are trying everything in our helplessness. Someone has written calibrate the compass before each takeoff. The official release of DJI is that you never calibrate it unless the software asks for it.
Many calibrations may disturb the compass ...??

Contact DJI, they are already routine, so many drone flies ...

Hi Jakab,

Many calibrations may disturb the compass ...??  nope, calibrating does not disturb anything!

BUT !!  if you calibrate wrongly, omg, see what happens when you fly away...
So calibrate only in a free open space, not metal ect in the area (or hidden in concrete etc).
If you have such a place than its safe to calibrate as much as you want.

So its the BUT who does the harm to drones!

cheers

I have had to calibrate only once, and since then it works like charm (knock on wood).

Though feedback on this from DJI is rather confusing (manual vs forum posts vs support emails).

Hmmm...  I've run a forum for 7 years now, a saying comes to mind.... "dont feed the trolls".  In an open market world economy, at a certain point in time,  consumers have to move on to different products in order to achieve happiness.  Thats just how it is.  You simply cant please all of the people all of the time.  Spoiling things for others is just egotism at its worst.  If you're here to help, to learn, then that's fine.  Dang,  I may have just served lunch.....

Hi Jakab,

I just guessed for the compass that the DJI wrote about not calibrating if you did not request the Go app.

I can see that there are still two kinds of opinions.

I just calibrated once because I put it on top of my computer and it disturbed its compass. Not since then.

Maybe I remember it badly, but Spark flew away that, who calibrated it before ...

It would be good to figure out what this phenomenon really means (error):
- A weakly constructed factory-vulnerable compass?
- Firmware error, which badly handles the compass error?
- Go app. wrong command?
- GPS error?

The error messages are very strange:
"In Flight, working IMU encounters heading exception, please switch to atti mode if craft behave abnormally; Yaw Error"

"Weak GPS signal Positional accuracy may be compromised Please fly with caution Yaw Error"

What if this is not compass error but GPS signal receiving error?
Someone here on the forum said the compass and the GPS line are tied to the IMU.

The contradiction of the GPS and the compass causes Yaw to fail, but the GPS may say it against the compass and this IMU can not handle it.

I never understood why the GPS mode is switched off because of the compass error, but if the GPS signal is not okay, then the "ATTI" mode can be understood ...

This is just guessing, from the information so far ... If someone says better, we will be happy to hear...
