I'm using the Phantom 3 Professional with an ipad mini2.
The app I'm using is DJI.
I flew on Friday with no issues. The next day when I fire up
everything there's no communication between the  drone and Ipad.
Nothing was changed from Friday to Saturday. I also tried to use
the drone on my phone with the DJI app and the same issue.
The usb cable is in correctly.

Sorry for the trouble. If it was working before, have you tried using a different cable? Also, is there an error message showing up on your application. Kindly post it here. Thank you.

I haven't tried a different cable. The camera has no image and the upper left message is red and it says no communication.
I also recall the first time it happened,there was a "cpu overload" on the app. This  happened right after i forgot to remove
the gimbal guard.

I have had problems to connect recently a few times - with my Android device.
Only way to re-connect was re-starting the device. Have you tried this yet?

Yes many  times. I'll have to try the cable swap first.

Actually, I don't think it's the cable because I tried a different cable on my Android and that didn't work either.

You are welcome. You also can try to refresh the firmware for the drone, remote controller and the DJI GO app, then try to link the remote controller with the drone again to check if it fixes or not. Any further issue, please feel free to let us know, we're glad to help.

As per #9, you may need to refresh or re-update the firmware of your aircraft. Please check the video tutorial as for your reference.
