I know some people have the same problem I had, to get the lens cap.
This morning I went to the supermarket and I found the solution.

In my city, The cap for gatorade beverage is perfect!!! (same lens size).
Look every one in the supermermatket a bottle that match the lens size (32mm aprox) and use it, like a temporal solution.

Nice inexpensive solution.  Thank you.

I have some soft rubber caps that came with my contour 2+  they are soft and also fit well.

It costs $53 US.  Too expensive.

Where are you and how much

Another valid (but temporary) Lens cap solution...
Cleaning my coffee machine this morning (I am Italian...coffee is serious stuff here! ) and while opening the coffee machine cleaning solution bottle, I sensed that bottle cap would do for the task...

I must say, the specific plastic cap has some "pros" compared to other cheap solutions seen here in the forum:
-Is GOLD color, recalling the P3P stickers and logo colors.
-Is deep enough to avoid lens scratches.
-It has not thread inside, so not scratching the camera body.

However...is a temp solution. While travelling with my case and P3P, I realized that best solutions to protect your P3P is to get one of those lens/gimbal combined rugged support, especially if you travel and plan to check-in at airport.

Ingenious, you guys with the home fix lens cover/cap.
Brilliant, and cheap.
The way it should and must be, for me.
Especially after laying out $1600.00 + Canadian, for the Phantom 3 Pro' and another $500.00 + for this iPad 2 Mini.

Thankfully we don't need a flame retardant flying suit, helmet and boots. ;-)
Actually the boots are optional. Hahaha

Yeah, I love the DIY solutions on this forum. Lots of out of box thinking. Gotta save my money for when the official DJI leather flight jacket comes out this fall so we can fly in colder weather.(C'mon, you KNOW it will)

I bought a lens cap off ebay but it was just too hard. Cap was 3D made, it is solid and hard to get off and on. I was scared I would damage the camera so I bought a softer 3D made one and it seems great so far.
I really did like the hard plastic one because it had DJI on the front in gold.

Why make it TEMPORARY... No need to spend money on something when you have something that will work that you are just going to throw away

That brings a question - is there a temperature limit on when you 'can' fly? Hot/cold? I just read this and I am sure it is in the "MANUAL" but just curious about others experiences...

Just to add yet another alternative; telescope eyepiece dust caps (31.75 mm or 1.25 inch diameter) fit perfectly.

Pay a thousand or so for a drone...put discarded cap from drink on it..priceless.

Lens covers are like 10.00....cheap.

Would it make things better if he put a dji sticker on the gatorade cap? What the hell is the difference? Plastic is plastic.

I bought a rubbery cap for chair leg 1 1/4 " . It's soft , fits perfect and doubles as a tool to remove the UV filter.
At the time , there were no caps available .
