I recently sent my Spark in for repair after a landing mishap, which resulted in cracking the camera glass.

The service from start to finish was excellent. I expected a repair to my drone, but it appears they returned me either a new, or refurbished as new replacement. Different serial code, and I had to pair it to my controller.

All fine. Flew it this evening for the first time. But in sport, it seemed slower. Looking at the data it confirms this. My original maxed out at 18.2m/s (40mph) whereas the new one only managed 14.5m/s (32mph)

Anything I can do? Will the motors loosen up?

What speeds do you get?

You should only be getting 30 or 32mph.

Max Speed31 mph (50 kph) in Sport Mode without wind

I would say you got bad data with the other readings.
I had 55mph in sport once.
Deleted that flight and the next was 46mph.
next was 36 and 33.

How to tell if you got a new or refurb unit? look for an "R" in the serial.

The tone of the motors didn’t sound as fast either. Definitely seems slightly slower

Did you buy the first one new? If it was second hand the previous owner could've done the Sport+ mod?

No, it was brand new. What’s the sport + mod!?

How is the setting of the stick reaction speed in the app?

All standard I assume. I hadn’t altered anything from the initial set up process with either drone

Replacement products or parts provided by DJI may not be new, but it will be in good working order and at least functionally equivalent to the original product or parts warranty. A replacement product or part shall be covered for the time remaining on the original product's warranty. As mentioned above, max speed is 31 mph (50 kph) in Sport Mode without wind. Kindly check the attachment below.
