We traveled up to central Utah this past week to visit family, and I've wanted to get some aerial footage of the Manti LDS Temple for a while. I was informed - nicely, almost apologetically - that the LDS Church has imposed a rule against drone flying on Temple property, due to previous incidents of drones having crashed into different church buildings, and in some cases, causing damage. The Elder did point out that, so long as I was not on Temple property, they could not tell me to not fly. In respect of their rule and their concerns, I made sure to keep a decent distance from the building with my drone, and used multiple flights to get the different angles on the building, so as to not put the Spark opposite the building from my RTH position, just in case something happened, that I would not overfly the Temple building.
I'm still sometimes amazed by what this little drone can do.
