Hello,

I'm wondering what others here are using as apps to identify areas where drones are forbidden to fly. I have seen that there are a number of them available in itunes. And are you using the free (with ads) or paid versions of the apps?

I use the Normal Version but there is not much adverts.

The only thing I notice on the UAV Forecast is that NFZ is far bigger than the actual DJI Geo Map - https://www.dji.com/flysafe/geo-map.

I just use the UAV Forecast as reference.

N2QLT,

I use AirMap for no fly zone info - very accurate.
I use UAV Forecast for any other info (no fly zones in UAV Forecast are less accurate than AirMap - at least in my area)

I think AirMap is the most accurate and free. I even have it as a small app on my Garmin watch, so I can check instantly the status from where I am standing.

You can resize the Nfz in UAV
Also you can switch on or off the warnings you wanna see

The thing with AirMap, zoom in to exactly where you would be flying - zoom in as close as possible.
If you just put in an address or zip to the area you are flying, ALL alerts within the zoomed out viewscreen will appear.
Warnings 30-50 miles away, not pertaining to your flight area will say you should not fly.
But zoom in and there will be fewer alerts because it is focused on your area.

For example, the fireworks location I flew at, Default view of AirMap said there were 7 airports/ helipads I needed to notify.
Since I was just going up 400ft stationary - zoom in and there was one airport and one helipad I had to notify.

Thanks for that info! Some of those maps can be a little confusing. It sounds similar to the map that DJI provides.
