I live in the suburbs of Atlanta. My neighborhood is surrounded by 90-foot pine trees. We have wall to wall homes here. We have limited sight distance and very small skies. My Mavic Air was up 172 feet and got about 1,000 feet beyond the trees when it started having connection issues. Any thoughts on how to improve connectivity in a dense neighborhood or best practices?

You need to fly on open space. It’s not safe to fly from place surrounded by tall objects. The RTH may not be able to land on the surrounded area.

Activate the airplane mode on your smartphone. Signals received and sent can scramble the connectivity between ANAFI and its controller. --- That was a good tip. Thanks.

I'm able to get about 1,500 feet in most directions near me. I can't fly due west because of a phone tower.
