I get that but what are you playing it back on?

Are you talking about the playback on the live stream on your device?

Are you talking about playing the video back on your computer once you transfer the video to your computer?

Need more information...

I do not see any video lag unless my definition of lag is different than yours.

What I am seeing is some very low resolution video.

Is this video from your drone or from the DJI GO 4 app?

Can you confirm your video settings on your drone? Make sure you are actually recording in a higher resolution.

Apparently when I was watching your uploaded YouTube clip YouTube had not finished processing the video yet as it wasn't allowing me to view it in HD. Now that it has finished processing I can view it in HD. I still do not see any lag though however. What I see is a slight camera jump at about the 4-5 second mark in the video clip. I would think this is a possible issue with the gimbal motor? Is this an ongoing problem?

I know of no computer than can play 4K 60P. Maybe in 3-5 years when faster processors come out and software better optimized for 4K, but right now, there are numerous problems just playing 24P smoothly. I've got $16K into a dual Xeon E5-2667 with 128GB RAM and ten SSD drives and a nVidia Quadro M6000 and I still have problems with 4K playback in Premiere.

You won't see any lag, only the person shooting can see that, as it is a delay between what is happening in reality and what he sees on the screen of the controller. It is always due to the display device taking too long to process the video images.

It does not matter what your computer specs are, although yours is definitely low spec., 60 frames per second is a slow motion rate, and virtually all payers will choose to run it at half speed. Stcik with 30 fps, 60 does no good for you unless you want slow motion.

....sorry to tell you this but you should have got a Windows PC. I was going to buy a mac in 2014 instead I got a custom built PC for less than the price of a Mac (£600 less) and I use it for flight simulations with heavy graphics and watch 4k videos on youtube with no issues. Sorry..!

....well not quite, videos are filmed at 60 fps is smoother played back than those lower, this is due to amount of frames squeezed in that instance. Not only for slow motion but also smother footage. There are 1080 60fps or 4k 60 fps videos are on youtube. All depends on the Graphic card running it to display it properly or not.

I AM on a PC. Dual Xeon E5-2667, 128GB DDR4 RAM, nVidia M6000 GPU, all SSD drives. Adobe Premiere just slags along.

But I did find that the final version 15 release of DaVince Resolve just runs like butter, but it won't import DJI footage unfortunately.

It won't import 4K footage, or ANY DJI footage?    I could understand the former, as many editors won't import that yet, but there's nothing special about 2K or 1080p DJI footage that it shouldn't run in a competent editor.

I beg your pardon....

"128GB DDR4 RAM" Wow that is an awful lot of Ram.

I had a chance to look at the Adobe CC suite today, they all start slow and work slow (on an iMac)  Yes DaVince Resolve is fast.

I will try and see if imports my DJI videos. Haven't tried it so far...

I beg your pardon....

"128GB DDR4 RAM" Wow that is an awful lot of Ram.

Resolve 15 recently came out so I updated my Resolve and spent some more time playing with it.

Performance wise, it's in a whole different league. Reading in Prores HQ UHD files, I was able to make a 4 camera multicam timeline, with LUTs and sharpening, and play it back at full frame rate, smooth and efforlessly. CPU usage around 33% and GPU-Z reporting 84%.

There are four show stoppers preventing me from using Resolve:

1. Won't import DJI P4P footage, won't import footage from my Sony RX10 Mk III
2. Titler is from the 20th century--need to render before they can play
3. Fails to render out h.264 UHD files
4. Needs BMD proprietary hardware to output full screen to a monitor

I've only scratched the surface. It's really a shame, because it runs so smoothly (as long as I don't use any titles) running XAVC and Prores footage. If Premiere ran like this, I'd be set for life.
