Is there any way that we can disable the resetting of the file number after 999. I am using mostly keywords and not only folders for my photos organization so this adds another step in my workflow (that of renumbering files)

No, DJI has limited the numbering schema to your above mentioned 999 images/directory.

DJI is NOT listening - last year I was asking to do file names YYYYDDHHMMSS for never repeat naming but they do not care - they introduce new bug's (Joke)
