hi can someone let me know how to (if its possible) to disable the onboard storage (8GB) and film strait to the SD card storage

In the camera settings of DJI GO 4 you can choose where you want the footage to be saved (internal memory or SD card). Just make yourself familiar with DJI GO 4. This will help you for many other issues as well.
