No need to register with anyone just yet but you will have to soon, when they work out just what they will be doing - but the Nats app is a must to use - as you can already use it to publish notam airdata of your flight live right from your mobile device - I do think this or something very similar will become a part of your flights after your registration in 2019 - and look at this - http://www.nats.aero/droneflyingtips

Thanks I do have a private pilots licence but think they are sapping a lot of the fun out of it due to the few that ruin it for all.
Almost everything that Drone Safe gives you can also be found in a more useful format without registering at http://notaminfo.com/ukmap
Or use whatever system you already use for finding out about notams and restricted zones.
I think the Drone Code is actually pretty good and a lot better than it could have been, people do need to be told what is acceptable and most of the limits are sensible ones.
