I went to use my drone and have lost the capability of viewing the video to my Apple I-phone.  After checking my settings, I found warnings to update my firmware to both my controller and aircraft.  Why is it that I can't continue with using the aircraft with the old firmware, until I find the time to do the upgrades?

That is not the case you should still be able to use all functions without doing any upgrades at all

There is no reason your aircraft should not fly with older firmware. Simply ignore the message. This has been talked about for a very long time.
