Three weeks after I got my Mavic Air back I grabbed the bull by the horns and despite some windy conditions decided to take a few photos.
Whilst my Mavic Air was in for repairs I ordered the PolarPro Cinematic Series Gradient 3-Pack and used the ND8/GR for the following photo`s.

Looks like she's working againGreat looking photos!

No post processing (photoshopping) other than straightening the horizon, cropping to remove the blank sides and resizing to upload here.

Captain Wachtberger you are correct in this however I really need the graduation in the filters as the dinamic range seems to be a little bit of a problem for the Mavic Air camera.
Later I'm planning on posting similar photos in hdr.

On the second photo, the horizon is not straight at all... I can easily see it when I scroll and the horizon reaches the top of my browser window.

To be honest I have no experience with graduated filters, but I am sure that other users here do so and can answer your question.

As an Amateur Photographer I can tell you that we use graduated filters in places where there is a very high contrast between the sky and the earth.  In essence one "makes" the sky "darker" and the earth "lighter" as many camera light meters struggle with the difference in exposure requirements for the 2 fields in some photographic situations.

Captain Wachtberger attached please find a picture of graduated filters to give you the exact "picture" of "darkening" the sky and "lightening" the land to get a more "manageable" exposure.

Thank you very much again, the usefulness is obvious.

Great exposures in BOTH pictures. I'm really impressed with the detail in the moutains in the first pic. Without the filter I doubt it would have balanced the nice details in the darker areas with that white beach.
