Might be a silly question but is anyone downloading files from the mavic air with a usb type c cable on the mavic air to a usb type c end on your computer or laptop.
DJI gives a usb type c to usb 3 however my new laptop has usb type c and am wondering if I can go type c to type c without damaging anything.

Just get a usb 3 to usb c adapter for your lead. Or get a new lead. No damage done or corruption. Failing that, just take the card out and pop it in, if you have a card reader in your pc.

Yes.  you can go USB-C to USB-C  I have done it several times.

I happen to have a Google Pixel, so i had the cable already.  Plugged it into a MacBook Pro and it worked flawlessly.

Hi, thanks for reaching DJI Forum. We do appreciate bringing this query to us. Yes, you can use the cable provided ( USB 3.0 type C ) from your aircraft directly to your new laptop. Thank you.

It looks like it's a very small area you need to stick in for pulling out the Micro SD card.

Easy enough done. The little flap is quite strong. I usually release the card with a match end and just pull it out.

Yeah I find it somewhat tedious on both my Spark and Mavic Pro, I would say the Spark requires a little more effort.
