WHY is there not a USB-C connector on the Mavic 2 remote? WHY is there still a USB mini connection? You put USB-C on the Mavic but looks like you just re-used the same old connectors on the remote. Change this!!

Hi there, thank you for reaching out and we're very sorry for the Inconvenience, Regarding with that all the Mavic series has the same USB port on the remote it just that there some change with the Mavic 2 series that used USB type-C.

USB-C is far superior to USB-Micro for lots of reasons look it up.

USB-C offer transfer rates up to 10Gbps which is twice that of USB 3.0 along with far easier connection to plug into

It’s all about form and function, for the remote it doesn’t need the capabilities or the additional cost of USB-C or its increased size..

use caution when inserting into the remote. the port is square which makes inverted insertion easier which can damage the remote.
i suggest marking the remote, and the cable so you know which way is 'up'.

i'm going to get a magnetic cable where i can leave the connector in the remote.

If you have a connector in the port on the side, the bottom usb will not work anymore, and with a magnetic cable, I think it will disconnect very quickly during flight, if walk around or something

I can't help but have to come to the conclusion that for a certain user group it is a challenge to either look at the port and the plug to find out which is the right way to push it in or to simply use the little adapter provided by DJI with their logo on top of it, which indicates the correct position for plugging in. Is it really that difficult?

The later being primary reason to use USB-C.  Easier to connect, leading to less likely to break.
USB-C in itself is more rugged in design too.  Along with no issue of which is side is up or down.

I agree. If you're gonna build a  new machine with new features and capabilities, why not use the latest connection technology.
Also agree with other posts, it's a no brainer on connecting. Apple had this figured out a long time ago.

Micro-USB ports are nerve wrecking little buggers. Their existence should be wiped off the planet ASAP. I promise you as soon as this port has been eliminated, a lot of wars will suddenly stop. Nope, I am not exaggerating...seriously...
