Hello,

after ~1 hour of flying i got an issue which i could not fix yet. when i stop recording it talkes (for an 2minute or shorter video) up to 2 minutes till i can sart recording again during this time that "loding circle" around the record button is circeling around and on the rc it sais recording.. i allready reinstalled the firmware and app on my iphone 8 but nothing changed. i allso tried another sd card.
my main sd is an sandisc ultra 64 gb micro sd X. the other one is an old samsung 32GB microsd HC class 6

The strange thing is that when i startet flying the first hour up in the air i had no problems. i started recording in H.264 than switched to H.265 at the first day (43mins up in the air no issues) at the second day i only recorded at H.264 after 20 mins or so i recognized that mysterious issue

PS: i just accidently pressed rec and stopped it after 10seconds and it took over 30 seconds till i was able to restart the record.

i allso uploaded a screen recording where you can see how long it took. (after i stopped screen recording it took 2 more minutes to finish it)


i hope anyone can halp me with this problem to fix it

Many class 1 memory cards are too slow for the Mavic 2.

Do you have any class 3 memory cards? If not, you can find some commonly used class 3 memory cards here.

as it wasnt a problem within the first hour+ i dont think its the card causing the problem but ill have a look on your link

and i forgot to say that i normaly film in 2.7K 60FPS but in 1080p 30fps there is the same problem

Also - how old is the card?  They do deteriorate over time as well...

yes i tried formatting but no change there the card is one or two years old

There is a simple test to find out if the cause is with your Mavic 2 or with your SD cards. Repeat the same exercise by using the internal storage of your Mavic 2 (change in camera settings to internal storage). If it records without problems there, the problem is definitely with your SD cards (what I now believe to be the case).

You are very welcome! Make sure you get one of the tested and recommended. You find the list in the specs here: https://www.dji.com/mavic-2/info#specs

Sounds exactly like what one would experience with a slow write memory card.

This is what I use with no problems at all.

try to get a new micro sd card like SanDisk Extreme microSD Card with higher writting speed it happens to me before when i stop the recording theres a long wait before the circling stops because the micro sd card is to slow in writting datas sometimes the video get corrupted. hope this help you cheers

Hi, Sorry for the inconvenience. Please let us know on the latest progress after changing the SD card to see if there will be changes. Kindly see the image below for our recommended sd card as well.

Have you tried the class 10 sd card?
The best are sandisk and kingston.

Wachtburglur are you serious you told the guy that he should open a ticket with DJI how long have you been flying drones? Obviously he has a few slow SD cards the class 6 wasn't the dead giveaway? Anyway op I would suggest getting a u3 card

If you had carefully read the thread before shooting you would have seen that I corrected myself and helped solving the issue.

Try the SanDisk Extreme Pro U3, V30, A1/A2 - has always worked brilliantly with all of my drones from the Spark to the Inspire.

I got my new sd card today and it seams to work now. I still not know why it did work the first hour but that doesnt matter now.
