The problem is that there are very many more drones in the UK than sensible operators. A lot of operators will have no idea they have done anything wrong and a large number of that group won't care either. Also as drones don't have electronic identifiers no one will know whose drone it is and once it has dropped below radar (if in deed it is visible to radar) no way of following it home.
Regulations are slowly coming in where all drones will have to be registered but it will be many many years before there are no unregistered drones still able to fly. There are still un taxed and uninsured cars on UK roads despite that being illegal for many decades. |
