you likely have a lot of radio signals happening in town. have you tried the little booster reflectors at all?

It could be because you're in a heavy interference area, if you're getting longer range in other locations then it's probably an indication?

I have tried that.  I think it is because I never have clear LOS; I am surrounded by double-storey buildings....

If you're seeing limited distance with your MP and you're new MP2, then it's more than likely your surroundings. I use my MP to check fence lines on farms and I fly over 9,000 feet from home point on a regular basis without any problem. Might try going out somewhere in the country and see if your range improves and that would confirm the problem for you.

Launch from the top of a building n the distance should increase significantly.
