Enrique Iglesias's cut his hand during a concert grabbing the Inspire 1


Just happy Inspire didn't spin out of control and dive into crowd.. Not sure why pilot had to get that close to stage to begin with.

Seriously ... they must have better more suitable equipment for this kind of shoots ...

If the pilot had any brains he should have killed the motors the same second he grabbed it!

I'm still wondering why pilot got that close to performer to begin with and sea of people behind.

If you look closely you will see that the I1 is transforming right when he was cut. I think he must have put his hand under the vision positioning system causing the I1 to transform, right in to his hand. Ouch! There are too many things wrong with doing what they did to begin with to even begin talking about how this could have been avoided. This type poor judgement is exactly the kind of news that hurts our industry.

It was probably a certified UAV pilot with insurance and a safety staff of three people. Just goes to show that you can train em and insure em but stupid can't be fixed!

Out of safety concerns,  Inspire 1 was not designed to be hand caught while in flight.  Your safty is our top concern, so please raise awareness of safe flying practices and do not try to do some dangerous moves.
