It takes some getting used to but I got it figured out and now it's a breeze to put it on/off.

So much better than the Gimbal guard for the Mavic Pro. Dear god that was frustrating to take on/off. Myself I have no issues with it.

I haven't owned the original mavic pro So I'm kind of new to this. I'm afraid that I'd damage my gimbal everytime I try to put it on.

The gimbal guard definitely could have been designed better and you do have to concentrate when installing it.  But it's not difficult, just a bit fiddly.

It's super easy to take off and put back on (even though sometimes I end up fiddling for a while to put it back on) it's scratching my gimbal very badly :/

It took me a few tries, but I figured out how to put it on...   I've got a few small scuffs on the back of the lens from the cover rubbing.   They don't come off.  But they're very minor.  You really have to look for them.  I tried to take a picture of them, but they don't show up..  I need a better camera

The scuffing is so minor, I voted "Not an Issue"

I took some craft foam with adhesive from Michaels and cut a little square to put in my cover, no more scratches.

I was a struggle the first few times but now it’s easy and better than the M1

it's pretty annoying at first.  i got the hang of it and now it is fairly routine.  i do still move the gimbal sometimes and feel like i could damage it.  

The key is to flip the drone upside on your leg so one hand can the hold drone and the gimbal at the same time.  

Another top top: The SD card is on the side of the drone with the leg that says mavic.  I always used to forget and check the wrong side of the drone.

Personally I think that the gimbal guard on Mavic Pro 1 is more tricky to put on than on mavic 2!

In my opinion the Mavic Air gimbal protector still is the best I've used. But I can understand DJI, it's not easy to design a cover for the M2P and the M2Z gimbal. If you can come up with a better design I would love to see that

Nope. Not an issue.

I find the  gimbal cover very hard to mount without scratching the aluminium surface. This is bad design, At least they could had made the internal part covered with soft silicone, to avoid those nasty scratches.

If you leave it on, then maybe you would get the long awaited Mavic Pro 2 'Airplane' Mode'

ever since the mavic 2 was release the gimbal protector or cover is a problem, it scratches the camera body and hard to put it on the mavic 2 & detach from the drone automatically when in transport

I have hundreds humming birds in my backyard, Yes they follow the drones, I don't know if they don't like it or they like to follow it. I guess they are attracted to it. That's a pic that I took from one of them

The new CAPTCHA crap is the last straw.
Im tired of DJIs crap and am removing my posts and will be on my way.

Since I'm new to this, the most annoying part about it is forgetting to take it off. I solved it by putting a "Remove Before Flight" streamer on it.

In a way it is pretty annoying bu at the same time, if yo know how to put i back on it is fine.

Not at all. I like it better than the one of the first mavic pro. You had to remove two parts.
The one on the mavic pro 2 goes much better.

I find it easiest to not even use it.  My case holds it so tight, I figure it is safe.

Replacement one piece Gimbal Guards are available on Amazon and are much easier to install. No scratching and provide good protection. Polar Pro makes one and the other that I use is made by Sunnylife.

at firs absolutely hated my gimbal guard hated it enough that i was considering not even using one or maybe buying an alternative... however i dont know if just practice makes perfect or what but now i can usually do it up in one or 2 motions.. unles the camera decides to roll around trolling me... then i still hate it

after number of times  frustration, eventually can easy to attach deattach
to avoid any scratching : my DIY solution was coating the surface, which  directly contact to gimbal, with self-adhesive transparent type that works quite well.

Maybe the first couple of times but now easy peasey and can attach/detach in secs.
