There are a few issues with this thread, firstly the OP is confusing focus and sharpness - they aren't the same thing.
Infinity focus isn't always where the indicators say it should be on any lens. Due to manufacturing tolerances in both the sensor and lens, temperature variations and various other things the actual infinity focus isnt always where its computed and marked.
Ive got a lot of DSLR lenses - on none of them is infinity focus exactly where the marker says. They all focus beyond it. The mavic is no different.
D-log is always going to be more faded and less sharp than the fully processed 8 bit video straight out. If you arent prepared to post process it regarding colour, distortion and sharpness you aren't going to get an image as good as 8 bit. Thats kind of the whole point of d-log. Its minimally altered to allow the end user a lot more flexibility to create the style and image they want.
Post processing isn't simply dragging a LUT on and thinking "Yeah, look at me, im a pro video editor".
Its substantially better than the mavic 1 where you were forced to use a horribly over-sharpened image setting purely to disable the inbuilt noise reduction detail killer.
