So today the weather gods eased up on the high winds and rain we've had for the past few weeks, so we managed to do a short flight with both Mavics, these are from the Mavic Pro 1

Lovely shots John - is that a sun dial on the beach - very striking and great capture whatever it is!

It is a sun dial Andy, the guy is there most days and produces diffent art works each and every day.  You see it better on the video Miche is working on.

Lovely clear crisp images.  Nicely done

When built first the lighthouse keeper lived in the lighthouse, the cottage came many years after. Would have been a brutal existence, hardship in the extreme.

Thanks buddy, like I said below the guy is there every day and produces very complex designs in the sand and the speed he works is outstanding, but I guess he has to as the tide turns very quickly and his work washed away.

Most lighthouses in Ireland would have dwellings or out buildings , where in later years lighthouse master would live permanently with his family, sadly most of the dwellings are empty now with the advent of automatic lighthouses.

Thanks Hallmark, yes we also love the lighthouse and next venture is going to be at night when it's working. We'll do a few tests flights during the day just so we don't see "my drone splatted into the wall/lighthouse"  The guy that operates the lighthouse is cool and also a keen photographer so we have an invite lol

The guy that creates them is somewhat in demand and from what I heard does travel the world creating his art in sand. Granted he is seriously talented man but talk to him and he's happy in his own skin and doesn't give a hoot about financial reward and does it because it brings a smile to peoples faces.

If the weather holds up we are going to try and film him a few more times to see what he comes up with next.
