I think its on the building where the last red arrow is. Maybe on someones balcony? or roof?

It looks like it crashed into the structure on top of the roof.

It's definitely not on a balcony. The balconies are too low and the downward sensors were showing an altitude of about 8 feet prior to the crash.

Wow really? I'm going to fly my Mavic there 2mrrw to see if its up there. Then I can just go into the building and ask the doorman. Thanks for your help msinger this is huge if I actually find it up there.

Yes I took off from the sidewalk.

Many sidewalks have rebar in them, so it's not a safe place to take off from. It's also a good idea to check these other things to ensure the compass is not being negatively affected by anything in the area:

Do these important compass checks before taking off

I would suspect, the control signal was lost between the HP and the CS ( crash Site )  No LOS at that point.  There isn't any notification in the log......but it could have crashed before sending.......

Sorry you crashed,  and WHY didn't you just take off from the grass 5ft behind you?

That simple act, of taking off, from a plague free environment, removed from any known possible electrical or ferrous metal is key.

Such a simple thing too, to be aware of.

Reobar in the footpath ?  Huh.   What about all those buildings - no magnetic interference there ?   To my inexperienced eye it looks like a drama waiting to happen.
But I do wish you luck in recovering the bird.

Good on ya

Possible one of those air handlers up there "handled" it.  Pretty dangerous place to flying a drone around.

I located the drone. It was actually on the roof that we thought it was on!

One of the legs is broken but at least I got the SD card with the footage I needed!

Thanks for all your help! Another successful drone crash rescue mission.
