Again, I'm really new to drones.  How do you keep orientation and control.  I'm not sure that I'd recognize landmarks from high up and how to bring the drone down amidst all of those tall buildings.

If you lose your orientation while flying you can always refer to your map in the lower left corner. Your map also shows a white line of everywhere you flew during that flight and a green line directly back to your homepoint.

I suggest you use intelligent-flight mode.
For me, I use POI mode to circle spot I'm interested in and then control camera pitch manually.
Other than that, adjust the flight controller setting and you'll also get smoother maneuver.

Agree; I flew in 28 mph winds and steady as a rock.  Great movement on the camera in those shots.
