Hello this is my  Mavic 2 Pro after 1 month use
The gimbal holder kept scratching around  from the two bumper  the absorb  the shocks, I guess  while it flys the wind pushs the gimbal holder  backwards and this happend plus the poor quality gimbal cover scratched my gimbal  from the top

Thats bad man. Saw somewhere on the forum someone that placed a piece of cloth in the gimbal guard, to protect it.

Actually I bought another Mavic 2 pro and did  the same exact thing you just said  and I’m gonna sale this one with the scratches

Very wierd.  I have absolutely no marks or scratches on my gimbal.  

I hope everyone takes a shot of his/her Mavic2 pro /zoom and show us how it looks

It’s good that you don’t have any thing , I guess your one is perfectly aligned I guess :/

i did the same with the gimbal cover, i put tape from inside to cover it and make it soft.

My Zoom also has no marks on it

Mavic 2 Pro, 1500+ miles in over 400 flights, not a single scratch anywhere on the gimbal.

I got the mp2 now 1 month, flew 20 hours, 220 km not one scratch.
Or there is something wrong with your gimble , not correctly fitted, or you are a little bit too rough putting the cover one , or wrongly

Clarifications
I'm an Italian user, who has substituted as many as three mavic 2 Pro, and all three with the same identical scratches on the back of the gimbal!
the scratches are NOT due to the fast flight or after sharp braking !!!
The scratches are due only to Two factors:
Gimbal cover inserted forcibly (by DJI editors)if the scratches are present from the box just opened.

During transport, if the aircraft is violently transported, the gimbal cover DOES NOT block the gimbal back and forth, and then collides with those two plastic blades that dampen the gimbal itself!

I no longer wanted to play the lottery of fortune to find the perfect gimbal, I would not have flown and so I held the third drone! I am convinced that ALL have scratches, and who says they do not have them I think they are so small that they have not noticed!
I DO NOT USE MORE THAT CURRENT GIMBAL COVER DAMAGING! I SOLVED SIMPLYLY WALKING THE GIMBAL WITH A GOOD ANTI-SCRIPT CLOTH BY EYEWEAR (wrapping the CAM in all its sides)AND SIMPLY STIVED IN THE BAG / SUITCASE.

How can this still be possible when so many users reported the same problem?
I now wonder if I received a refurbish unit...
Very disapointed with my first DJI drone. Paid a lot of money for it, still did not receive the flymore combo and now this...

as I said last year is the bad cover for gimbal to do this!  it is made of hard plastic and every time you insert and remove it you will ALWAYS rub the paint of the gimbal!  do like me!  throw it!  I put the mavic due on a hard case and wrap the gimbal in a soft cloth !!!
PS even if you arrived without any sign after putting on the gimbal cover a couple of times and you would have had micro signs anyway!  mine also has a small sign behind it and I kept it the same!  everyone has at least one sign if we look at them in detail

I got the Polar pro gimbal guard,  its foam lined and a lot easier to put on the camera.

I saw some comments and they all mention that it puts some pressure on the gimbal. What is your opinion?

I havent noticed it putting pressure on the gimbal but it does hold it securely.  

It happened to me too, with a new and sealed mavic 2 pro, I realized that the problem was the gimbal cover so I removed the part that hold the camara and I kept the round cover.

Yea I checked mine today, had it for about a month with about 10 fly sessions.  I have a small scratch on the back of the gimbal too. I added some tape to the cover since it was scratched up a bit.  DJI should consider changing the cover to a soft rubber in the future.  Looks like the MA2 has the same type of cover, hard plastic.

no visible scratches on my almost 2 years old m2p.  i wont use lens to find it. i use my drone just to make videos and take pictures. Doen t mater if there is micro scratches even when i ll sell it.
