Can someone tell me the correct cable to use to connect the controller to an I pad 4 mini? Also, where I can buy it.

You can try the data cable that came with the apple device.
And you can get them at your local Best Buy, and yes, even Amazon...
Just make sure it's a true data cable. Not just a cheap charging cable.
You can check in the item description , and make sure it says for data backup....

You can also use your original iPad 4 mini lightning cable for connecting via the bottom USB port. Just a reminder to remove the micro USB port on the left side when connecting the bottom port. I'm using the one that came with the I pad, but it is 3' long. I thought there might be a shorter one made just for the mavic air.

Hi there, Allen. You may purchase the Mavic Remote Controller Cable (Lightning connector) on this link: https://store.dji.com/product/ma ... n=16&vid=19411. This is shorter than the original lightning cable from iPad.

You can pick up shorter ones on amazon, just try to get a good quality one.

At €22 plus another €22 postage forget the dji cable some very good cables on amazon for less than €10, I expect in dollars even cheaper, I have used them all the time and they work really well.
