Hey Everyone,
New owner of a Mavic Air here out of Northern Michigan. Tons of places to shoot up here so I am excited. Here is a glimpse of my first video, a sunset from the house. Seems a little noisy to me, let me know what you think...tips on editing, camera settings, pointers in general all welcome.

Yes, copied this straight from the sd card. Shot it in 4K, and used auto for first video settings. Pretty amateur when it comes to changing the settings...for now at least.

Welcome to the forum.
Nice to see some part of the world I don't know
Have a lot of fun flying and capturing the beauty around you!

There is so much to say about making content, but the most important part (for me) is : go out and shoot (fly)
Look at your footage. What do you like, what don't you like?
There are tons of tutorials on 'cinematic drone footage' out there, if you are after that.
But in short it comes down to:
- Move SLOW
- Move even more slowly.
- No sudden changes in direction while filming (continuous movement)
- If you are confident, make multiple direction movements (forward and pan, up and tilt, etc. etc) all SLOW and continuous.
- Try to make your video < 3 minutes (unless there is something very interesting going on)
- Make various shots. Tell a story. Movement is there to add to that story.
- Don't speed things up to make your video shorter, unless it adds to your story as an effect.
- Look for suitable music and edit 'to the beat'.

Practice one or two things over and over again until you are satisfied with the shot. (I usually make multiple tries before I'm happy)

Nice work! Just a friendly tip, if you are new to youtube, remember not to use copyrighted music for your videos, it's pain if you actually edit and use one.

Well done and welcome to the forum. For tutorials look for Mauros Films and Wellsi on YouTube. Both are great and full of fantastic tips and settings.
