Shot in Autumn last year, featuring the beautiful landscapes of the Bavarian Alps in South Germany. Best known for its valleys, mountains, alpine lakes, winding passes, quaint towns and magical castles.

Filmed over a 6 day period along the famous German Alpine Road - if you fancy something different, I highly recommend this driving route!

Shot on a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone with PolarPro ND filters (fully recommend these filters).

Thanks for your kind words, it truly is an incredible part of the world and would return again in a heartbeat. I was pretty lucky with the "Disney" (Neuschwanstein) castle you mention, as the bridge overlooking the castle was closed for maintenance so it provided a better take on the waterfall as there wasn't a single tourist in sight. But yes, I shot plenty more footage but didn't want to overdo it!

I shot in D-LOG, MP4 4K both full-frame/cropped depending on the shot, at 23.976fps to achieve a cinematic look.

Edited in Premiere Pro.

I essentially followed these settings -



PolarPro's ND filters (x6 Cinema Series, 3x polarised filters, 3x shutter) were used... Most of the time I filmed with the shutter speed filters, as the polarised filters limit you to certain angles at which you can film at. Any shots that included water were filmed with a polarised filter (4x ND, 8x ND, 16x ND).

Where did you get all the permissions to fly in the national parks, nature reserves and Neuschwanstein?

Fun to view!   Clever editing using the piano notes to cue the scene changes.  That all makes it flow nicely and avoids staying too long on one shot.  Germany is perfect for this type of film. I hope you enjoyed the drive and the production of this short movie.  It is so refreshing to look at this quality of work, instead of a rash of complaints on the forum... or the same old non-edited footage of the owners backyard.
In my opinion, it is one of the best reasons to own the MP2.  Get out and take a trip.  Then, re-live that trip during all the editing.  Then share with US.    Well done!

Thank you so much for the kind words, and I couldn’t agree more. The drive was spectacular, and highly recommend it to anyone thinking about visiting Bavaria... I spent weeks planning the logistics of the ‘production’ to coincide with the actual leasure/travel of the region, and it all worked out great.

Being able to witness the most stunning sunrises alongside filming them was certainly a highlight of the trip.

If you put the hours in then the end results are worth it! I haven’t gotten round to filming my backyard just yet ;)
