The Ronin App REQUIRES internet?!

How is one expected to change settings when in remote locations?

Thanks.  The app sometimes doesn't respond and takes a very long time to connect to the Ronin-S.  I was under the impression that logging in to the DJI Account is what was locking up the Ronin App.
