maybe this has been mentioned before, but you can you use a USB C OTG with your Osmo pocket.
It will start automatically the mimo app when you connect with a cable to your phone.
it works perfectly on my Samsung s9+ in combination with the OTG stick and the cable that came with the phone


Works nice if you don`t have a wifi adapter available

Hello and good day Aboveclouds. Thank you for the information you have given us. Just a friendly reminder that upon checking  the mobile device that you are using ( Samsung s9+ ). I am sorry to say that the mobile device that you are using is still not recommended for your DJI Osmo Pocket. Actually, there is a  possibility that the Samsung s9+ will work, however, since it's not yet optimized with the DJI Mimo application we cannot guaranteed the stability of the DJI Mimo application if this will work all the time while using the specific device.  We highly suggest you use the compatible device that was listed on the recommended mobile device list below to avoid any problem. Thank you.

Works fine if you've chosen a fully functional cable (data and power).  Stay away from some of the poorly labeled "cheap" ones that may not include data.  If you "should" happen to get a Mimo shutdown, just consider it an annoyance (while DJI works to certify other android devices) and restart Mimo.   The convenience is worth the minor possibility of a minor annoyance (nothing will "break") !
