made my second flight of the morning of the sun rise...
was about 2 mins in when i got a cal and mag warning..
gps turned off.. then lose connection on the remote iself
no feed on tablet...
walked out side to see where it went and couldint even hear it or see it..
came back in to try and restarty the remote..
still no connection..
after about 8 to 10 mins my remote starts going off
beep beep beep... RTH was engaged...
went out side and it was over head...
that was scary..
due to the tablet not receving telemetry
not flight data was recorded on it..
down loaded the data off the drone and found the right file
but cant seem to upload it to the upload sight..
can some one tell me how to extract the data from the dat file for the controlles..
air data is telling me that the remote had great connection thoughtout the flight just bad gps...

Hello and good day. I am sorry to know what happened to your previous flight with your DJI Spark. That was a scary experience. May I know what is the model of the mobile device you are using please? I will be posting an official DJI Tutorial Video on how to sync the  DJI Go 4 Application Flight Records. I hope this can help you. Thank you.

Wow. That's scary. I'm sure someone at DJI will help figure this out.

can some one tell me how to extract the data from the dat file for the controlles..

You could try using CsvView/DatCon. It can be obtained here
CsvView Downloads

If you upload the .DAT to Dropbox or GoogleDrive and provide a link someone will take a look at it.

i was in my house standing at the window due to the cold temps.. kept my eye on it befor it messed up...
i due to the RC DCing from the tablet .. no flight data was stored on the tablet when it did so.. syncing it only sync from the internet not from the drone it self..
i have tryed to use csv and dat extractors.. but they dont tell me what the controller was telling it to do..
i feel like my drone was hijact.. but want to know about how it happend..

any one?
i have been able to view most of the flight data. just want to see if it reported any controller input..
my drone descended almost to the ground at 50% all on its own...and also changed cam position a few times..

There are two unrelated problems with this flight.
1. At time 223 secs there was an unexplained Yaw error. This caused the switch to ATTI mode. Although it may look like the "gps went offline" in fact what actuallu happened is that the FC set the gpsHealth (aka navHealth) value to 0. The numSats remained above 16 and there were no problems with the GPS.

2. At time 296 secs the RC:sigStrength had gone to 0.0 causing the RC to disconnect. At time 307 the Spark decided to auto land because it had lost the RC connection. Finally, at time 406 secs the Spark changed it's mind and decided to RTH

Re your question regarding controller inputs during the disconnect there were none.

It does seem a bit odd that it first decided to auto land because of the disconnect. But, then 10 secs later changed it's mind and decided to RTH because of the disconnect. I'll speculate that the reason was that initially there were several disconnect/connects and the response to this was an auto land. After 10 secs of no reconnects the ressponse was an RTH. i have seen a flight where an autoland happend beacuse lost comms and in ATTI, during autoland P-GPS again and still no comms with the RC, so drone did a RTH.

Don't fly it while standing in the house.  Especially if you can't fly a model airplane and have never been trained to pilot a model.

Once the GPS is lost or the compass has an error, all control over the flight is put on your hands.  The autopilot won't correct it and expects the pilot to input reverse stick controls to keep the drone from racing off into the distance.  It takes a lot of skill to fly a drone without a solid GPS lock.

i guess i had a misconception in thinking that they angled the props to be able to hover and fly.. didint know it was locking its position
still dont know what would make it lose gps and atti 100ft above the ground with perfect sig strengh
