I have had an interesting request. I'll try to be brief.
My son's Boy Scout troop places American flags on the
graves of the Veteran's for Armed Forces Day every year
in two different cemeteries, as an ongoing public service
project for our community. One of the cemeteries has
graves of CSA vetererans, some of which are unmarked,
but their exact locations have been recently pin-pointed
with ground penentrating radar. To augment the recording
of these and other grave sites, I have been asked if it is
possible to create a complete map of all of the Veteran's
graves with my Spark.

So, if I were to hover my Spark, over each grave site with
the help of the cemetery's trustees, can I ping or mark each
one to be retrieved & mapped into a useful document or file?
I am thinking taking a photo will record that exact GPS location.

Any input will be appreciated.

Hi,

You can take a photo at every point. The photos contain EXIF data which also includes GPS corrdinates of where the photo was taken. BUT unfortunaley, DJI decided to cripple GPS accuracy in EXIF data on the Spark, so this wouldn't really help you. You need a better suited drone for a task like this.
