Hello and good day SAADHEROc. Thank you for reaching out and for the inquiry. I would like to suggest that you search the drone rules and regulations in France. The best thing is call the French Authorities and visit the French Websites if there are any restrictions. Please click the link for further info: https://www.dji.com/flyingtips/fr . In addition let me provide you a link where in you can check locations in France where in you can fly your drone freely or if the certain location in France is a no fly zone : https://www.dji.com/flysafe/geo-map . I hope that you can also get the best information and recommendation from our DJI Co pilots who has visited France and shared there experiences as well. Thanks for your support.

just do your research or ask a fellow drone pilot that has been into France with their drone.

Not tried to import a drone but once arrived you can see an official map of drone restrictions here.
https://www.geoportail.gouv.fr/donnees/restrictions-pour-drones-de-loisir

I only use it as a guide because it is totally over the top.  One exclusion zone shown covers an area where just one farmer applied for a microlight permit and it is years since he has flown one. All town halls have an exclusion zone. I took some photos of our Town Hall and presented them to the mayor. A large drone shot now has pride if place behind his receptiojn desk.

I live in a rural area and have never been challenged about using my Spark but you need to use common sense. I guess a flight over Micky Mouse's Castle would not be a good idea.

If you are worried about coming through the airport with a drone, why not send it by courier (if you have an address where you will be staying)? It is cheaper than paying for hold luggage. Last time I was in UK I sent a 28 kilo suitcase to France for £15. It was picked up Saturday afternoon and arrived Tuesday morning.
