Greetings fellow pilots! I updated my Samsung Galaxy S8+ yesterday.  Today as I'm going through my Pre-Flight prepartions I connect my phone to my controller via the cable.  Now I immediately get a message "phone rate of charge is slow, try changing cable".  So my phone is now sapping my controller of power?  I went into setting on my phone to see if i could disable usb charging.  Searched the topic.  Nothing.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Android devices are auto charged by the RC and can not be turned off in the app.

Hmmmmm, okay.  I guess the result is more frequent charging for the controller.  Thanks!

Hi FotoMan, sorry for the trouble. This concern is related to the android system and hardware. The Android phone needs on-going 500mA to maintain the USB connection, so there is no option for the Android device to disable the Charging mode. You can avoid the charging mode by using IOS devices. Appreciate your understanding and support.

I have used a Galaxy S8, as well as my Nvidia K1 Tablet and both I have turned on USB Debugging and never had that issue, I think it will work, but please, let us know

You can turn off the RC charging on iPhones in the GO4 app but you can't on Android.

How do you turn it off? Getting ready to try OTG and don't want my rc charging my iphone if possible.

Unfortunately, the same happens with DJI OSMO POCKET. This is very bad because you cannot replace the battery in Osmo Pocket. Fully charging the phone unnecessarily, reducing self operating time!
